City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder -- PIANO PROJECT

 

Hi Parents,

 

The Goldfields Arts Centre and the City’s Events Team have banded together for a piano project.  The City has donated a piano and a pianola to be decorated as a part of the street activation plan and have invited artists, Em Anders and Ron Hanson to paint them. 

 

The City is looking for piano players of all ages and levels to lead the community to participate, and have invited the students of ISM! 

 

This would involve being the first playing them at the Christmas Street Party from 5:30 to 7:30pm on Sunday November 25.  They would then be placed in locations about the city centre for the public to engage with during the coming Christmas Sunday Trading Season, which happens every Sunday in December from 10am to 3pm (2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd December). 

 

Please let me know if you are available for any of these dates, with the priority being the Christmas Street Party. It would only be necessary for each student have prepared 1-2 pieces (not required to Christmas-themed). It is like an impromptu performance!
