ABOUT US

Sisters in Song is an auditioned, all-female a cappella choir based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Directed by Molly Johnson, Sisters in Song began rehearsing in May 2019. Our Sisters (aged 16+) have a passion for music and a shared love of vocal harmony.

August 31 - Goldfields Eisteddfod (Goldfields Arts Centre Ensemble Room) WINNER "Open Choir" and "Most Outstanding Vocal Ensemble" 

October 27 - Houses for the Poor Charity Concert (St Mary's Cathedral Perth)

November 10 - Seniors Week Afternoon (Eastern Goldfields Community Centre)

November 24 - Christmas Street Party, Street Carol Singers (Hannan/Cassidy Street Kalgoorlie)

December 15 - Our Concert! Summer Soiree (Goldfields Repertory Club)

AUDITIONS

All prospective members must audition for a place in Sisters in Song. Auditioning is essential to correctly place your voice in a part within our choir. Not all auditionees will be guaranteed a place in Sisters in Song.

What will the audition consist of?

The audition will take around 15 min and may be alone or in a small group. You will be asked to sing your prepared song (see below) and the Director will take you through a few harmony/tuning exercises.

What do I need to prepare?

1 verse of Advance Australia Fair or Amazing Grace or other well known song (you will sing this unaccompanied)

AUDITIONS

You will be given some time/day options when we receive your completed audition request.

REHEARSALS

Weekly rehearsals during school terms at International School of Music.

To achieve to a high standard, we require your regular weekly attendance.

Thursday 7:00-8:30pm (90 min)

FEES  MAKE A PAYMENT

TERM FEE - $100.00 (8-10 weeks)

• Casual attendance is not available, we require your commitment for one term.

• Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

• Payment via PayPal or direct transfer upon being accepted into the choir.
